Linus is over his little tooth issue for now. It is something we will have to continue to monitor moving forward and may have to take further action. He's cantered once under saddle and took the correct leads both directions. He's starting to have moments of giving to the bit and going round. We've added in changing directions at the trot which is a bit confusing for him. He's decided to show me that he is afraid of jackets being taken off or put back on so he's been getting to work on that. At least I found this out when I wasn't on him.
They both got to work on ground poles. Diablo seemed to enjoy it while Linus thought they were going to eat him. We had to work over each pole on the circle individually before he could do all three on the circle. When he did decide to do them you would have they were two foot jumps the way he reacted. Diablo remained calm and relaxed going through them and couldn't have cared less about them.
We're on the hunt for fun and different ways to desensitize horses. We'll share what we come up with along the way.
